HPL dry erase boards from OptiMA Inc. are a high quality, non-magnetic wall-mounted dry erase board that will stand up to every day or heavy use much better than a cheap Melamine dry erase board.
HPL stands for high pressure laminate. The HPL dry erase boards make excellent non-magnetic dry erase boards for the classroom or the office where you don't want to incur the higher cost of porcelain steel dry erase boards but you don't want to scimpt on quality either.
Our HPL dry erase boards offer the most durable, 25-year, non-magnetic dry erase writing surface available on the market. The HPL non-magnetic dry erase boards offer an excellent, smooth dry erase writing surface that resist ghosting.
HPL dry erase boards come with the same high quality satin finish aluminum and solid oak frames as the OptiMA best porcelain steel dry erase boards. The HPL writing surface is mounted to the same 1/2" fiberboard substrate and has a Mylar vapor barrier backing on the back of the boards. This means that you can easily mix and match between our OptiMA best dry erase boards and our HPL marker boards in the same office and the boards will look similar to each other.
The differences between the HPL marker boards and our Best OptiMA magnetic dry erase boards is that the HPL is only offered in a brilliant white, non-projection quality dry erase writing surface. If you try to project onto these HPL marker boards you will get a big "hot spot" in the center of the board because there is too much reflection.
Another difference in the HPL dry erase writing surface over the OptiMA best magnetic dry erase surface is the HPL surface is softer so over a long period of time it may scratch. The porcelain steel surface used in our OptiMA best boards won't scratch with a pocket knife.
The other most obvious difference is that the HPL marker boards are not magnetic receptive so they can't be used as well for planning kits or scheduling boards and you won't be able to use any magnetic accessories on the boards.

All of the HPL marker boards ship standard with satin anodized, full-length aluminum marker trays that have smoothly rounded corners for added safety and attractiveness. Each marker board includes four assorted color chisel tip, dry erase markers and a marker board eraser. All of our marker boards include the installation hardware and easy to follow instructions.
Quick Ship: Some of our HPL dry erase boards are designated as Quick Ship which means these marker boards will normally ship out from the factory in 1-2 working days. Quick Ship marker boards are available in the following sizes: 4x4, 4x6 & 4x8 with Aluminum Trim only. {Quantities may be limited} All other marker board sizes normally will ship in 10-15 working days. Please note that your entire order will be sent as a single shipment so if there are both Quick Ship and non-quick ship items on your order it will not ship from the factory until your order is complete.
The HPL marker boards are available with either satin anodized aluminum trim and tray or solid oak trim and tray in sizes from 33-1/2" x 45-1/2" (Ships UPS) to 4' x 12' in length.
All marker boards 33.5" x 45.5" and smaller can ship by UPS, larger boards must ship via truck. Delivery does not include inside delivery. (See Freight Policy in F.A.Q's)
