These are perfect chalk boards for children's play rooms, restaurant menu boards or office break room message boards. Composition chalkboards are available with a green or black writing surface and come with an aluminum or solid red oak trim. All boards ship with a full-length marker tray unless noted in the drop down menu below.

The aluminum trimmed models have a 1/2" face trim and 1 1/4" deep full-length chalk tray on the 33 1/2" x 45 1/2" and smaller chalkboards. 4' x 4' and larger will have a 1" face trim and full-length 2 3/4" deep chalk tray.
The red oak trimmed models have a 1 1/4" face trim and 1 1/4" deep full-length chalk tray on the 33 1/2" x 45 1/2" and smaller chalkboards. 4' x 4' and larger will have a 2" face trim and full-length 2 1/4" deep chalk tray.
Standard composition chalkboards should be broken in. Take a piece of plain white quality chalk and turn it on the flat side. Proceed to chalk the entire board with an even layer of chalk. Wipe down with a soft cloth or felt eraser. Your board is now broken in and ready to write on. Never wash your boards with wet cloths... Water and chalk do not mix and actually form a glue like substance that blocks the pores of the writing surface causing your board to malfunction.
These composition chalk boards make excellent restaurant menus or the perfect chalk boards for store displays.
Quick Ship: If an items says Quick Ship in the drop down box it will normally ship from the factory in 1-2 business days. Add transit time to your location on top of that for delivery. If Quick Ship is not noted the normal lead time would be 12-15 working days to leave the factory.
Small Chalkboards that ship by UPSAll of the units listed here can ship by UPS. However, if you have a number of units it may be more economical to ship by Truck.
Larger Chalkboards that ship by TruckAll of the units listed here are too large to ship by UPS and must ship by Truck. Even if you select a smaller board that can ship by UPS along with one of these units you must select Truck.
If your order comes to you by truck you have to open and inspect your order regardless of what the outside of the carton may look like. Large objects like these can be damaged during transit and it is your responsibility to inspect your shipment on arrival. We will replace any damaged product free of charge if it is signed for as damaged upon arrival.
*If your order must ship by truck we have a shipping fee of $100.00 within the continental U.S. to your loading docks or curb side. If your board order is over $850 then you will only be charged a flat fee of $45. There is a service charge of $35.00 for "Call Ahead" service. Custom orders and graphics orders are not included in our free shipping program.
